HIIT Rooftop Fitness at Whole Foods Lincoln Park

I love to eat, which means, I NEED to work out. Fitness is super important. The other day I went to my building's small gym and was devastated to find that they're remodeling. Which means they're close for an entire month. SO SAD! But I was only sad for a minute because I know there are tons of other ways to get a workout in around this city. Many ways which are free.

Will you be there? Do you know where else I can get a free workout in? Aside from that yoga at Lululemon and running in the city, I'm also thinking about getting Classpass. Thoughts?

Meet Bill Rancic in Chicago

Earlier in the week, I posted about a chance to meet Giuliana Rancic. Now, it's your chance to meet her husband, Bill Rancic, Winner of the First Apprentice as well as Star of Giuliana and Bill.

He will be the keynote speaker at a Free Business Expo open to the public, at an event titled the City of Chicago Small Business Center on the Road.

It sounds like a wonderful business event for SBA owners and entrepreneur. Even if you're not a fan of Bill, it seems worthwhile to attend.

The Magnificient Mile Shopping Festival this Labor Day Weekend

Many years ago, there used to be this thing call National Fashion's Night Out. It happened in early September, right before New York's Fashion Week. It was a night where all the stores would throw these amazing parties, and I have fond memories of mall-hopping from one end of Michigan Avenue to the other, collecting drinks, food, and amazing swag bags along the way. But then, in 2013, FNO went on hiatus and haven't been back since.

Fortunately, Chicago has a pretty similar alternative. The Magnificient Mile Shopping Festival is happening over Labor Day weekend, Sept 4-7, 2015. The fest is open to all and includes a 5k race, yoga in the court, performances by Cirque du Soleil (Sat, 12pm) and other performers, discounts and perks at shops on the mile, and the biggest of all, a Magnificient Mile Pop-up. I'm really looking forward to the Pop-up; Nordstrom will have a set-up where we can screenprint our own free tote bags, refresh and recharge with beauty samples, and pose in their photobooth. I think I went to something similar last year, but this year's event seem bigger and better than ever. I can't wait!
